Martin Typhoon Air Cannon
A hybrid-valve air cannon that delivers more force output while using only half the air volume of a standard XHV air cannon. Precisely timed bursts of compressed air dislodge built-up material from bins, silos, chutes and hoppers to keep bulk material flowing. Supplied by Pankaj Enterprises as part of the genuine Martin Engineering range.
Product Description
Martin® Typhoon Air Cannon uses a hybrid valve concept to deliver more force output while consuming only half the air volume of a standard Martin® XHV air cannon. A single air line fills the tank and triggers the valve, and negative-pressure firing keeps plumbing simple and installation costs low. The complete valve assembly can be removed and replaced in one step, from one side of the tank, without ever needing to take the tank off the vessel for service — a major maintenance saving over conventional cannon designs. Used for:
- Preventing material buildup, bridging and ratholing in bins, silos, hoppers and chutes
- Restoring reliable bulk material flow in bunkers, precipitators and boilers
- Retrofitting older air cannon systems that use normally-open solenoids, without replumbing
- High-temperature applications where a rugged, low-maintenance flow-aid solution is required
Available in 35L, 70L and 150L tank sizes. Tanks are manufactured to ASME Code Rules, Section VIII, Division 1, and are National Board registered, pressure vessel quality (PVQ).
Applications
- Silos, bins, hoppers and storage bunkers prone to material buildup
- Boilers, precipitators and process vessels with flow obstructions
- Cement, power generation, mining and aggregate processing plants
- High-temperature applications requiring a rugged flow-aid solution
- Retrofits of existing air cannon systems on a limited budget
- Facilities looking to reduce compressed air consumption
