Martin CleanScrape Primary Cleaner
An innovative, metal-tipped primary belt cleaner installed at a three-dimensional helix angle across the discharge pulley. Its tungsten carbide tips apply minimal pressure to the belt while removing 85–95% of stuck material, making it safe for use on mechanical splices. Product Description
Martin® CleanScrape® Primary Cleaner is a revolutionary metal-tipped belt cleaner that is installed diagonally across the face of the discharge pulley, forming a three-dimensional curve across the belt. The cleaner incorporates a matrix of tungsten carbide scrapers tensioned against the belt, which despite an extremely low contact pressure, removes 85% to 95% of stuck material. Because it applies minimal pressure to the belt, it is safe for use on both mechanical and vulcanized splices, making it one of the most versatile belt cleaners available. The tungsten carbide tips are available in multiple grades to match the application, and the design requires minimal installation space at the head pulley. Used for:
- Removing carryback from conveyor belts in bulk material handling operations
- Cleaning belts with mechanical splices without risk of damage
- Reducing spillage, fugitive material and clean-up labour at the discharge point
- Protecting downstream idlers, pulleys and structure from material buildup
