EWAC ALLOYS PRODUCTS
EWAC TE 81 is a high hardness tubular electrode developed for severe abrasion resistance and extended service life of components exposed to high abrasive wear.
EWAC TE 81
EWAC TE 81 is a high hardness tubular electrode for severe abrasion resistance. Its alloy system is designed for high abrasive wear conditions, with minimum heat input and low dilution during surfacing.
Product Description
EWAC TE 81 is an innovative alloy containing a strengthened austenite-eutectic matrix with densely distributed fine boride and carbide phases. In tubular form, the high hardness alloy is intended to enhance component service life under high abrasive wear conditions up to 350°C.
The electrode provides high single-layer hardness, a high wear factor greater than 50 according to ASTM G65 Type A, high deposition rate and metal recovery, and surfacing with minimum heat input and low dilution.
Fine stress-relieving cracks may appear as a characteristic of this alloy system. A smooth surface finish can be achieved by grinding.
