PIX-PowerWare® Gear Couplings consist of two hubs with crowned external gear teeth that mesh with internal teeth on a surrounding sleeve, transmitting torque while permitting relative movement between the shafts. The specially designed crowned teeth reduce backlash and radial clearance, while the gear hubs are precision machined for correct meshing and inter-changeability between units.

The range is available in both full flexible design (flexible at both hubs, for connecting two independently supported shafts) and half flexible design (flexible at one end only, typically used with a spacer for pump/motor sets requiring maintenance access), across twelve standard sizes, PGC-1 through PGC-12.
